Talent Quest
Talent Quest Week is conducted by our Music teachers annually during the last week of Term 2. Students from each year level are invited to perform on stage before their year level and parents to display their hidden skills and talents. Prizes are awarded in the senior grades. This is a fun event which we all enjoy. Some of the performers are invited to perform at other concerts and major community events throughout the year.

Debating
Our highly skilled debating program is conducted in the second semester by our teachers in collaboration with tutors from the Queensland Debating Union. Students participate in an 8 week skills program and apply for selection for the school teams. Teams compete against Catholic and Independent schools at evening competitions. Our school produces some outstanding debaters, a credit to our teaching staff and students.

Thank You Concert to Our Volunteers
Annually our students give back to our community of volunteers by entertaining them with a concert and morning tea in November. Entertainment varies from class plays to performance items.

Visiting International Study Tours
With Mandarin Chinese as our L.O.T.E. language relationships have been established with Taiwanese schools to conduct study tours for international students. On these tours the students assimilate into our classes and share their language and culture. Homestay families provide generous caring support for our visitors.

Sport
Our school offers a variety of popular sports both during Physical Education class periods conducted by our own specialist PE teacher and at the two interschool sports’ seasons. Having our own pool captures the attention of most students willing to improve their swimming style and performance and the community through their membership of the Indooroopilly Swimming Club.
Sports on offer include: cricket, softball, tennis, water polo, basketball, soccer, touch football and AFL. Students in Years 6 & 7 who do not qualify for school sports’ teams participate in an intraschool sports’ competition on Friday afternoons to win the House Award.
Annual sporting events include: Cross Country Run, Swimming Carnival, and the Athletics Carnival. Many of our students achieve highly in these event and continue on to participate in District, State and National finals.
