Policy
Assessment is the ongoing task of diagnosing a student’s academic performance. The results guide the teacher’s professional decisions in developing appropriately challenging educational programs based on the guidelines of the curriculum documents.
Reporting is the formal process involving teachers clarifying students’ academic performance ability with oral interviews conducted between parents, students and teacher; a formal written report generated at the end of each semester and a collection of work samples in a student portfolio.

Education Queensland Year 3, 5 & 7 Benchmark Tests
These departmental tests focus on literacy and numeracy and provide the school and the system with comparative data for student learning outcomes. Students at Indooroopilly State School achieve highly in these tests confirming a reputation of a world class education.

Education Queensland Year 2 Diagnostic Net
This annual statewide test conducted in Year 2 provides the school and system with comparative data on literacy standards. Support funding is provided for students who require more assistance with their learning of reading and writing skills.
