  About our School > Road safety

In 1999, a group of interested parents was formed to address road safety issues surrounding the school. The committee has the following aims:

  • to monitor the road and pedestrian traffic at the school and to work together with the Brisbane City Council to find solutions to problems where necessary;
  • to educate parents and students on more appropriate usage of parking and drop off zones; and
  • to implement programs designed to encourage safer road practices.

To date, liaison with the BCC has resulted in changes to the Taringa Pde/Moggill Rd intersection as well as Russell Tce and Taringa Pde parking and drop off zones. These changes have significantly increased pedestrian safety in these areas.
